Chunky shared that during these trying times, he often had to present photo albums and perform scenes from popular films, even dancing to impress the producers. Reflecting on this period, he said, "My struggling days were very different. There were no casting directors or digital media, so we had to wait in long queues in front of producers' offices. Getting to meet them and show them albums with photographs, we also had to dance in front of them and enact scenes from popular films."

Despite the hardships, Chunky found the experience fun and educational. To make ends meet, he worked as a part-time car dealer, which allowed him the unique perk of driving different cars every day. He humorously recounted, "I was a part-time hustler and part-time car dealer, so I used to get the chance to drive those cars around. Every day, I was in a different car, visiting producers' offices."

Chunky Panday began his acting career with the 1987 multi-starrer film Aag Hi Aag. Over the years, he has carved a niche for himself in the industry. Recently, he took on the role of Rakesh Raman in the slice-of-life drama series Industry. Working on this series was a transformative experience for Chunky. He expressed his admiration for the new generation of actors, stating, "It was a pleasure working with this new generation of actors. I now understand that less is more-- their performances are so nuanced and organic. I believe that working with them motivated me to evolve. I gained a great deal of knowledge from this experience. I look forward to many, many seasons of Industry."

Industry, produced by The Viral Fever (TVF), revolves around Aayush Verma, played by Gagan Arora, a young and ambitious screenwriter striving to make his mark in the dynamic film industry. The series also features a stellar cast, including Guneet Monga, Ankita Goraya, Kunal Kapoor, Abhishek Banerjee, Amit Masurkar, Suparn Verma, Sunit Roy, Sumit Arora, and Prosit Roy in pivotal roles. The series is currently streaming on Amazon miniTV.

On the professional front, Chunky was last seen in the 2022 sports action film Liger - Saala Crossbreed, starring Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday. His journey from a struggling actor to a respected name in the industry is a testament to his resilience and passion for his craft.
